Hair loss after being in hospital: what you should do

This type of hair loss is far more common than you might think. The precise physical causes vary from person to person. It may be stress/inflammation-related or it could be hormone-related. The hair may grow back naturally in time, but I would strongly recommend giving it as much help as possible.

When you experience hair loss like this, the chemical messengers in the scalp (called growth factors) change, which leads to increased shedding and decreased hair growth. By increasing the growth factors that make hair grow (e.g. VEGF) and decreasing the ones that cause shedding (e.g TGF), you can quite quickly restore the balance and get your hair back to full health. I say “quickly” — realistically it is likely to take between 6 months and 18 months for full restoration. With a treatment like this though, you will start to see good results within a few months and it will be quite encouraging.

I would recommend starting out with the 5% serum to get a significant boost to your hair for 3 months and then you could drop down to 3% or perhaps 0% for progress maintenance.
